Cessation

Along with a flight of wicked laughter
Stepped,in a state of utter pride
With an ugly bash of cruelty
The same old destroyer
A knife in one hand
He slit the soul
Immune she lay
Decoding
Life

****

Full stops to so many lives are put at these days.. A suicide or a murder..when people leave you,it may hurt forever.

This nonnet is just an attempt of explaining the despair of a girl whose been raped of her happiness, and has been left to understand the complications of life, and continue living even if she has to die for understanding the complications.. SO IS LIFE!

Very beautifully written sonnet.. You've got into this habit of being a heart touching writer!!

    Wowww!! :):):)

  5. To be frank with you, I got stuck in the last line... Immune she lay decoding life. R u meaning to say when death neared her or just kissed her and left, she wanted to know of living in this cruel world.... That lines are making me think too much... Wud love to know in what sense u used those lines...'Immune .... decoding life'

  7. Hmm... Crystal clear... You have made your viewpoint.
Even I tried to touch upon the concept of Karma. But I always tried to do in a lighter fashion.
Remember reading Many Lives, Many Masters. Each life is given to us to learn some lessons.... Get a copy of the book. Its by Dr Brian Weiss.

  19. Hmmm... People come into your life for one of three things - a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

Once this is realized, such "longing" and "yearning" won't be a part. And 'moving on with life' will indeed be a lot easier.

Good one. Liked the style in which your verse flowed.

Just an itch; the first line... "a-long with a flight of wick-ed laugh-ter" : isn't that ten syllables?

    Peace.
